2 Choises Put the Xbox 360 in My Car for a Heater Or Put in My Basement?

I do not think an Xbox 360 would generate enough heat to be used as a heater. You would have to leave it on for hours, maybe even days for it to heat up enough. It most likely would not get hot enough to generate that much heat anyway. But I know you are just trying to diss the 360 anyway. I do not htink you really have an Xbox 360. Put this fictional 360 in your basement. And why is this in the PS section? This made me think I was in the Xbox section, and now I noticed it's the PS section.

1. Car heater blows cold air only. How do you flush out the radiator?

First of all, use a garden hose. Garden hose water is the same as you drink from the tap, and does not have anything but a trace of lime deposts, that wo not hurt an engine. No one uses distilled water in an engine, especially not the dealerships. Do not ever use radiator cleaning chemicals because they contain acids that are much too harsh for the thin metal in aluminum heater cores. I have fixed many a Taurus heater. It is a design flaw, in all of them. For some strange reason, Ford put a by pass hose around the heater core, so it can easily get clogged and filled with sediments. Not only do you have to back flush, but you need to pinch off the bypass hose. It is easy to see from above. It is a black hose a little more than 1" in diameter, running along the firewall. They sell hose pinch offs at all auto parts stores. It can take an hour to get all the sediment out. And you may have to do it several times in the first month or so. But you can capture most of the antifreeze before you start flushing. The heater inlet is on the passenger side, and the outlet is on the driver side, so just remove the outlet hose where it attaches to a metal coupler by the engine, and stick a pointed hose nozzel in it, while you open something low to let the water out. You could open the heater outlet, the bottom radiator hose, the radiator drain if there is one, etc. But there is absolutely no way you can clean it out while the bypass is still open. You will get no water to even go through the heater, much less enough pressure to push any sediment out. You must plug it. If you do not want to buy a pinch off, you can just cut it and insert a plug in each side of the cut, with a hose clamp.

2. What causes cold air to blow out of car heater?

It could be a thermostat thats not allowing the engine to get up to temp. If it is stuck open it would not allow the engine to warm up so as a result would not allow the heater to warm up

3. why does it take driving around for a while for car heater to work?

I am thinking the thermostat is possibly stuck open. keeping it cold constantly because there is no restriction to warm the coolant up to temp. so either the thermostat is stuck open or has been completely removed, either way its only a $5 to $10 part. if it has been removed for some reason there is more then likely something else that is wrong with the car that caused someone to take the thermostat out. but that's where I would look first

4. Car heater won't warm up.?

At least hree things have to happen before your heater will blow warm air: #1. The motor has to warm up, and warm up sufficiently to warm the fluid (the mix of anti-freeze & water) in your engine block to some pretty warm temperature, usually to above about 180 deg F. #2. There's a device called a thermostat that functions as a valve -- it has to open when the fluid temp exceeds 180 deg F or so. #3. Your water pump has to circulate the (now warm) fluid from your engine block into a part called the heater core (and elsewhere). If the thermostat does not open, the fluid wo not circulate...at least it wo not circulate well. If it's, say, 30 deg F outside and then if you just start the car and let it idle, chances are it will take about 10 minutes, maybe 15 minutes of idling to get the motor warm, thermostat open, and fluid circulating. If you get in your car and drive it, it will heat up a lot faster, because you are burning more gas. My bet is if you get in it and drive it, the heater will blow warm air within about four minutes. If you let the motor idle for 15 minutes or more and it's still not blowing warm air, then you've got a problem. With a car that's only 3 yrs old or so, though, that would be really surprising. If so, however, take it to your mechanic. It might even still be covered by the warranty.

Impala No Heat at Idle
It turns out the problem is pretty common with 3.5L Impalas. For some reason these engines lose coolant. Some blame is placed on head gaskets, some blame Dex-Cool. What ever the cause, refilling via the overflow jug can leave an air pocket in the cooling system. The cure is to fill via the pressure cap right to the top. Recheck the level after several heat/cool cycles. Then never let the overflow jug get emptyI have 2006 impala that randomly will blow cold air at idle. Sometimes if I stop at redlight the heater will blow cold air. If I get the engine above idle by reving the engine to about 1K rpm it starts to blow warm again. The temp gauge remains at the normal spot on the gauge. The radiator and expansion tank are at the correct levels.·OTHER ANSWER:I have 2006 impala that randomly will blow cold air at idle.
